Biography:
In August 2021, while I was in 12th grade, the Taliban banned girls from attending secondary school in Afghanistan. Overnight, my dream of graduating disappeared. Like millions of Afghan girls, I was told that my education no longer mattered.
I came to the United States to continue my education and pursue the future that had been taken from me. While I was grateful for this opportunity, I could never stop thinking about the girls who were left behind.
In 2024, I founded the Delaram Foundation with one simple belief: every girl deserves the right to learn. If I was given a second chance to continue my education, I wanted to create the same opportunity for girls still living under restrictions.
Today, Delaram Foundation provides education through underground schools, online classes, English programs, and computer training, helping Afghan girls continue learning despite the barriers they face.
I believe education is more than a classroom—it is hope, freedom, and the foundation for a better future. Through Delaram Foundation, I am committed to ensuring that Afghan girls are not defined by what they have lost, but by the futures they are still capable of building.
